Can You Give Back What Has Been Freely Given?

As I reflect on what the Lord has whispered to my heart, "Can you give back all that has been freely given to you?" I am prompted to consider the many blessings that have been generously bestowed upon me. The list is extensive and humbling:
Forgiveness
Love
Acceptance
Healing
Protection
Purpose
Grace
Provision
Understanding
Commitment
Each of these gifts is invaluable and has profoundly shaped my life. In response, I strive to give of myself freely, yet I am now challenged to give back what I have received in a deeper, more meaningful way. Can I open my life without erecting barriers to protect myself and my children?
This challenge places me under a spotlight, a test of my faith and willingness to give wholly and completely without reservation. Scripture provides guidance and reassurance during such trials.
Freely Giving Without Barriers
"Freely you have received; freely give" (Matthew 10:8). Jesus instructs us to extend the grace we have received to others, reminding us that all we have comes from Him. The Apostle Paul echoes this sentiment in 2 Corinthians 9:7, "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
As I navigate this test, those observing my journey will see my response. I acknowledge that, in my own strength, I will surely fail. Yet, I trust in God's perfect plan, knowing He has already determined the outcome before allowing me to face this trial.
Trusting God's Plan
God's word assures me of His presence and support. Proverbs 3:5-6 advises, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." This passage encourages me to rely on God's wisdom and guidance rather than my own limited understanding.
Although my heart aches at the thought of opening up to this new avenue of giving, I turn to prayer and Scripture for strength and direction. Ezekiel 36:26 offers comfort: "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." I pray that God will keep my heart tender and responsive, even when facing challenges.
A Prayer for Guidance
Lead me, Lord. Guide me, Lord. Make a way when I don't know the way. Help me remain secure in faith and not misunderstand this new chapter. I trust that you will equip me to give back what has been freely given to me with a heart full of love and grace.
Conclusion
As I journey through this test, I am reminded that God's strength is made perfect in my weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). I pray that through this experience, I will grow in my ability to give freely, without barriers, reflecting the love and generosity that God has shown me.
May we all be inspired to give back what has been freely given to us, trusting in God's plan and relying on His strength to guide us through every challenge.

Proverbs chapter three has always been an impressionable scripture. I love the translation you used and how it directs us to, "... In all your ways SUBMIT to him"... AMEN, let us submit all control, every thought, and every desire to him so he can straighten our paths ❤️🙌
